“Truth vs. Trust”

This fairly brief (1,000-word) essay by the very smart tech writer Kevin Kelly neatly and articulately encapsulates ideas that have been stewing in my mind for many years, most notably after the 2016 presidential election. Please do read it in full–it points toward what we’ll need to do to regain some measure of consensus about real-world truth. I’ve said over and over that it’ll be today’s kids (meaning teens and 20-somethings) who will solve this problem, but those of us who are too old to create social change can at least try to understand the problem and keep pushing for greater awareness.
