So hey, are you one of the people who thinks the Lieberman-infected HCR bill is just a big fat giveaway to the insurance companies that needs to be axed? If that’s true, then why don’t the Republicans support it enthusiastically? Or, for that matter, why didn’t they pass it some time between 2001 and 2006? It gives more away than we coastal elites would like, but that’s true for any bill that could be passed because we are near the end of the political spectrum. Remember: democracy sucks, just like dealing with bad housemates, but talking them into paying their bills while they refuse to do dishes is better than just kicking back in silent self-righteousness while they do whatever they want.

Music! Lights! DRAMA!
It turns out there is no music more psychedelic than that found at a middle school concert. I heard the theme to “Beverly Hills Cop 2″ for the first time, plus medleys of Christmas, Chanukah and Kwanzaa songs arranged by a Mr. O’Reilly. In and out in just over an hour, so all told, not so bad. And Vlasta OWNED her violin!
