I try not to post too many videos, as I rarely look at them on other people’s sites and generally find them not worth the effort. This one, though, is delightfully weird and arty w/o making me want to die, so I thought I’d put it up. It’s ten minutes, which is several months in internet time, but well worth watching, especially if you like Chris Ware’s comix (though it’s not his work)or smart, edgy animation:

For those of you not attending to Facebook, Jessie’s surgery went pretty much perfectly yesterday. No bones, nerves or parathyroid glands were harmed in the process, and they took a potato-sized chunk of too-much-thyroid out of her chest. Resting happily, home today or tomorrow. Woot!
Playing Rock Band 2 for the last time in at least a couple of weeks, Jessie and I made Vlasta sing the Dead Kennedys classic “California Uber Alles” tonight. I explained that the DKs were a classic San Francisco punk band, one of the most revered, irreverent, smart, weird, etc. She thought for a moment and said “Now they get to add a new member.” Wow. So true, so true.
