Grampa finally found the Snoop Dogg video! It might be hard to tell from YouTube (not teevee) viewing, because of the way they use film and video effects, but I remember thinking (when I saw this a couple months ago–when, dude, your *sister* told me about it), “Hey, wait a minute, you’re mixing Soul Train with Purple Rain esthetics in a way that is not chronologically accurate!” And then I realized I was an old man and all my nostalgia would be haphazardly appropriated as half-ass (albeit funny as shit) pastiche.
Yeah, I remember the 90s, back when telling people on the internet that I had seen something before them seemed kind of cool. Thanks for taking me back! See you at the AARP meeting.
